Lost Weight, Gained Smiles!

So, over the past few weeks Jason and I have lost a few pounds. We'd like to attribute our weight loss to extra work outs or a better diet but honestly, we're pretty sure it's because Abby has been continually moving. It's hard to get her to sit still for even meals these days. Don't get me wrong, her ability to walk is TONS of fun but now that she's practically running, she's not only pressing buttons to see what she can get away with but our house has also become a danger zone for trips and spills from stepping on her own feet. She definitely has had her share of bruises on her head but after a few tears, she's back on her feet and running with the cutest little smile on her face.

Here are some updated pictures. There's a series of pictures that may look similar but her facial expressions are priceless so I had to include them all. Enjoy!

Just a little shout out to the Mach family! Recognize the dress in the first picture? We found this Ralph Lauren outfit in the box of clothes you sent us still with the tags! I'm sure you're happy that it is finally getting some use since Emma never got a chance to wear it.

~Thanks Guys!

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's day but it was a busy one. We were out and about from 1:30 until about 7:30, lets just say we had one tired baby by the end. Abby got Julie an antique pearl ring for Mother's day, she had to break into the piggy bank but she wanted to get her mommy something nice! Abby has also really been practicing her walking. She can do laps around the living room these days, she can also stand herself up without any help from anything.

Here are some pictures of Abby from Mother's day as well as our first real trip to the park. We didn't stay too long but Abby got to swing a little bit and go done some slides with me.

All smiles with the wind blowing through her hair.

Abby and me going down a tube slide, we barely made it out alive!

These boots are meant for walking.

So Abby has been busy lately, not only has she been crawling all over the place but she has started walking! Not a lot of pictures but we do have a video of her walking around. She is so cute, you can tell she is trying so hard to walk. You will notice her clutching something in her right hand, it is one of my contact cases which has become her favorite toy. I don't know what it is about it but she loves it and carries it with everywhere we will let her.

Our busy little bee.

Well Abby has been moving and a shaking these days. She crawls everywhere and nothing stops her from getting where she wants to go. She is working on tooth 7 and 8, but they don't seem to bother her too much. Abby also has begun standing alone, usually she doesn't realize it and when she does she either grabs on to whatever is close of plops down on her butt. Our little love is just as happy as ever and Julie and I wonder why we got so lucky to have her in our lives. Below are some pictures and video of Abby over the past few weeks.

Bath time has quickly turned into splash time.
The kid loves remote controls, and now she is bringing them everywhere.

Happy as always, the new smile consists of a scrunched nose and all her teeth.

After a long day of playing hard she crashes even harder.

Pics and Video

Here are some pictures and video of Abby over the past few weeks.

Abby all dressed up for Easter

Here she is doing her favorite thing in the world, standing. Just try and stop her these days!

New Opportunities!

Since Abby has started movin' and cruzin' life, for her, has changed quite a bit. She is so excited to see every little bit of the house that she hasn't had a chance to explore until now since she's been crawling.

Duke and the cats have a little more run for their money and are still getting used to the whole "mobile baby" rotine. For instance, Abby likes to crawl over to Duke while he's playing with his toys and take them from him. He's such a good boy and deals with it.

The TV stand is a fantastic place for Abby to crawl up to and stand next to. She started pulling movies out of the TV stand so now they're pushed back out of her reach. It will only be too soon before we'll have to move them up higher instead of back further.

Not only is anything at her level of vision full game for playing with but the stairs are exciting as well. It seems like we may have a little dare-devil in our midst. She's only 8 months old and she LOVES climbing the stairs to see the baby in the closet mirror at the top. Not once does she ever look behind her to see a potentially tretchorous fall. (Mommy does enough worrying about falling for her to even care.)

Although all seems fine and dandy, she has taken a few spills so we ended removing our glass coffee table from the living room. Now there's plenty of extra room to fine-tune her crawling skills. Although she still shows signs of wanting to walk, she is starting to realize that crawling isn't so bad.

We do have pictures to show but we will put them up later this week. Stay tuned for more of Baby Beal, coming soon to a blogspot near you.
